Listing TPS on a College Application or Other Form

It is in your best interest to submit your applications as a homeschool student and list TPS as a course provider only if you are also submitting official documentation (e.g., a transcript) from TPS.

For students who are not in a Diploma Partnership with TPS:

  • For college applications (or other academic programs), you should list TPS as your course provider for courses where you are also submitting a TPS transcript. Otherwise, there is no benefit in listing TPS and it could delay or impede your application without the TPS transcript.
  • For high school program academic applications (e.g., summer internships), you should apply as a homeschooler and list TPS as a course provider only if you are also providing an official record from TPS. You should not list TPS as your registered school, as this will delay or impede your application.
  • For state applications (e.g., U.S. state drivers license), you should apply as a homeschooler under the laws of your state. Listing TPS (or any course provider) as your registered school will delay or impede your application.
  • In some instances (usually outside the U.S.), a student may be required to provide proof of full-time enrollment in a certified school. TPS can provide this for students in our diploma partnership or for younger pre-high school students who are enrolled full-time.

For students who are in the TPS Diploma Partnership, your standing and requirements in each of these matters varies based on the laws of your state. Please contact TPS Support for assistance with any of these matters. We will review the matter with you and and provide you any certifications required in keeping with your state laws and requirements.
